How can your brand support Women's Equality Day

๐Ÿ“ฃ Ladies and gentlemen, and anyone who falls outside of those categories, gather around! Today, we're talking about the magic that happens when design meets gender equality. Let's push for change and celebrate women through the power of visual creativity.

๐Ÿง  At the Studio, we make an effort to challenge stereotypes in our designs and illustrations. Warm colors are not just for female-oriented brands. No one ever criticizes a design because it looks too โ€˜boy-y, though โ€˜girlyโ€™ is by essence a derogatory term. Letโ€™s challenge that.

๐Ÿ‘ Collaborate with diverse teams: we want our clients, designers, mentors and friends to bring different perspectives and experiences to the design process. It helps us identify blind spots and unconscious biases in our own designs, and ensure that what we create is truly reflective of the people itโ€™s trying to reach.

๐Ÿ“ฃ On that note, we also want to represent these diverse perspectives. This means including images and messaging that reflect the diversity of our client's target audience, including people of different genders, races, ages, abilities, and cultures.
Also, itโ€™s a lot less boring.

๐Ÿ“š Finally, educating ourselves on diversity and inclusion
This includes understanding the impact of gender stereotypes, learning about different cultures and perspectives, and staying up-to-date on current events and issues related to diversity.

To conclude, letโ€™s make feminine design more of the norm, as opposed to always being considered โ€˜otherโ€™. Design is so powerful, especially in this world where there is such a gender gap in leadership positions, which can influence the branding and marketing decisions made by companies.
